About WPO
Launched on 16th April 2022, Women for Peter Obi – WPO is the movement of women with like-passion from all states in Nigeria including the Diaspora who are interested in good governance and participating in the process that ensures the coming on-board of a transformational leadership through a free and fair electoral process.
Our primary objective is to mobilise women, especially at the grassroots: local women, market women and civil servants to participate in the forthcoming general elections with the ultimate goal of electing His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi and other aspirants with proven track records of good governance or transformational leadership into various political offices in the 2023 general elections.
To achieve the above, so far, we are massively recruiting women, and youths with valid Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) across Nigeria according to their wards and polling units to vote in the 2023 general elections. Our database of committed members keeps growing by the day. Our target is to mobilize at least 10,000,000 women and youths to vote in 2023 general elections using our strategic action plan.
WPO members work as a team. We are determined, focused, patient and consistent in our quest to mobilize at the grassroots and build a formidable structure that will support good governance in Nigeria. We believe that achieving our primary goal requires a collective effort; hence all Nigerian women including those with disability are important on this journey.
Please join the winning group of women on an epoch making journey.
Thank you.

Why WPO Are Supporting OBI – DATTI
A number of factors have led to women rising up to participate in the forthcoming election process of 2023. Women are grossly inadequately included in the political leadership of Nigeria. They are also the less economically empowered, often and easily emotionally abused as well as sexually violated, particularly due to rampant kidnapping and terrorism. They have continued to suffer from the loss of children through infant mortality including the loss of their own lives during pregnancy as a result of lack of affordable and adequate healthcare.
